Opening A Portal
I have been re-watching Once Upon A Time from the beginning and this show is jam-packed full of lessons! It’s interesting how you can watch something you’ve seen before and observe things you didn’t notice the first time around. Perhaps it is also the state of mind I am in now vs then, but there are lessons of faith, confidence, and self-acceptance.
Today I want to talk about portals. In Once Upon A Time, portals are the way travel between realms happens. How does a portal open though? In order to open a portal, you need some magic and you need to think about where it is you want to go…and then you have to make the leap of faith and go through the portal – believing that it will take you to where you want to go. That faith makes all the difference! If you don’t have the faith – you won’t go through the portal
That reminds me of the law of attraction. In order for the law of attraction to work, you need to decide where you want to go – put a little magic into it (increase your vibrations) and then walk through, with faith that you will get where you want to get to.

There are different ways to manifest your portal (much like the different spells or types of magic that can summon a portal) and you can use different tools to get to you there. Some people are great at visualization – others use vision boards or journaling – meditation, affirmations, and gratitude are great tools too! As some of you know I participated in a creative workshop last week – after the paintings for Day 5 I painted this door. I believe this is the door to my confident self – and the tools in my belt are plentiful – I am on the journey to opening that door – putting together the ingredients for my spell. Some ingredients are easier to find than others – but I’m working my way through it – testing different spells to see which one will work.
I’m curious – what is in your toolbelt?
